Alhurra is an American channel that provides the United States with a direct line of communication with Arabic-speaking people of the Middle East. The network is unique within the Middle East satellite television market in its ability to give audiences an American perspective. It provides context for the Administration’s policies and insight into the U.S. public policy community and the American people .
The network has dedicated correspondents based at the White House, Congress, State Department and Pentagon, to help explain how U.S. foreign policy can impact a region. Alhurra also regularly hosts American experts who provide analyses of events in the U.S. and the Middle East as well as high-ranking representatives from the Administration who offer unique thoughts and information.
For example, Alhurra was the first pan-Arab network to interview National Security Advisor Gen. H.R. McMaster. He spoke with Alhurra White House correspondent Hisham Bourar during an in-depth interview about U.S. foreign policy towards the Middle East, including extensively about Iran. During the interview that was quoted throughout the Middle Eastern press, he stressed that the U.S. is determined to confront Iran’s proxies, including Hezbollah.
